So this is my tenth week of drawing one picture a day. I’ve learned so much about myself already. What type of art I like, what things inspire me the most, how much willpower I have. That I take really crappy pictures of my artwork. All very exciting things.
As of this post I have 4 more pages left in my drawing pad: an entire book filled with my artwork.
(“Failed Experiment- Phase 2 of the testing, however, did not go well. It seems that although human behavior started at adequate levels at the beginning of the experiment, animal tendencies took over as aggression rose. Subject L still refuses to wear human garments”. Friday 11/15/13. Start- 12:37 pm. End- 8:16 pm. Sharpie.)
(“Thrown-behind-the-Curtain- Is there not another boy your age near the village? Yes, Thrown behind the Curtain said, he lives beyond the trees, in the spring. Thrown behind the curtain pointed to the west, towards the small cluster of trees past the last teepee in the village. Well, you should bring him here and make him live with us, his father said. Thrown behind the Curtain said, I cannot, because his teeth are too sharp like a river creature. But if you make me a suit of rawhide, he said, holding up the buffalo skins from the hunt, I will try and catch him.” Saturday 11/16/13. Start- 12:05 pm. End- 2:03 pm. Sharpie. Based on a Native American legend.)
(“Flowers”. Sunday 11/17/13. Start – 11:04 am. End – 11:38 am. Colored Pencil and sharpie.)
(“Hanging Doll”. Friday 11/1/13. Start- 9:02 pm. End- 9:34 pm. Sharpie. Totally was not feeling like drawing, obviously.)
(“Transformation”. Saturday 11/2/13. Start- 8:45 pm. End- 10:32 pm. Sharpie. Picture came out a little wonky.)
(“Eating Flowers”. Sunday 11/3/13. Start- 7:32 pm. End- 9:43 pm. Pencil and Sharpie. My favorite from this week! I didn’t realize how long it takes to do pointillism though.)
(“Ophelia”. Monday 11/4/13. Start- 5:30 pm. End- 11:03 pm. Sharpie. I think you can tell what mood I’m by looking at each drawing. Or at least I can. Winter is setting in. Blah.)
(“Anathomen Draco”. Tuesday 11/513. Start- 12:02 pm. End- 1:28 pm. Sharpie and Pencil. I’ve noticed that with a lot of these drawings there is potential for a more fully fleshed out idea, but I can’t really express what I want in one day’s worth of drawing.)
