AAD (Art a Day Project): The Second Week

Well, it’s week two and my will is strong (I actually kept my word and drew a picture a day). However, this week was more difficult and I’m not really impressed with my drawings. I had a busy work week and I think it shows.

Oh well, it’s all part of the learning process.

So here you go, this week’s round of drawings! As always, feel free to give me ideas if there’s something you’d like to see me sketch.

("Envy". Friday 9/27/13. Start Time- 9:24 pm. End- 10:40 pm. Colored Pencil and Sharpie. Props to Sushila for the idea of drawing the seven vices/deadly sins)

("James, the Explorer". Sunday 9/29/13. Start- 10:30 am. End- 6:39pm. Pencil. Props to James for the idea, as well as Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Hey, it helps me draw to listen to people playing video games, alright?)

("Creation". Monday 9/30/13. Start- 8:24 pm. End- 11:14 pm. Colored Pencil and Sharpie. This one has a story, as I was thinking about all the different stories of creation that various cultures have. So, there are many gods in the universe. Long ago, a group of gods caught sight of one another from afar, and their bodies were stirred to a great passion. They ran towards one another, caught in their desire, and their bodies tangled until each god was indistinguishable from the next. This is how the earth was made. Each time the Earth shakes, it is one of these gods stirring. (This may have to be a new project-making up random creation stories)).

Not that I want to complain, but I’m just going to say that this project makes me very tired. Not in a “I’m never going to draw again!” kind of way, but in a “Oh crap, I have to finish this before I go to sleep” kind of way. So I’m suffering from a slight lack of sleep, but I’m looking forward to next week’s round of pictures.

Oh, and feel free to check out last week’s round of artwork:
