Well, I’ve almost survived the first week of drawing a finished piece of artwork every day. It’s a fascinating project – I feel like I’m learning so much about my art and myself, even though it’s only been a few days.
The first few were easy because it was the weekend. The real challenge came when I had to work my full time day job, dance, and then run home to finish a picture each day.
Needless to say I had some very late nights.
So here we go: the first round of my Art a Day project.
Keep in mind that art a “Day” to me doesn’t necessarily have to fall within the traditional sense. If I finished a picture after midnight (technically the start of a new day), I still count the picture as finished on the day it started (as long as I haven’t gone to bed, the day is not over yet).
Also, these are, of course, not going to be perfect. There are days where I am not going to want to draw at all, but I will anyway. I want to see what kind of things I can pull out of my brain, even when I’m not feeling creative or imaginative at all.
